Welcome to FindEazy.com

What is FindEazy?

FindEazy is an online directory to help you find trades and services in your local area. Where other directory sites show long lists of businesses that you have to scroll through to find one close to you, FindEazy hopes to make your search as quick and straightforward as we can.

Why is FindEazy different?

FindEazy keeps things simple! Instead of long lists of plain text and links that open maps in new browser windows, we show each business included in your search as a marker on a map, which is built into the page itself. You can click on each marker to view details for each business and navigate around the map to search in a new area.

Powered by Google™ Maps, FindEazy makes searching for businesses in your local area quick and simple.

How do I use FindEazy?

  1. Using the FindEazy search is as simple as deciding where to search and what to look for. In the Search Options form, either put your Postcode or Town into the text box or pick a town from the Town list below it.
  2. Next choose the type of trade or service you are looking for from the Business Types list.
  3. Once you have defined your search, just click on the Find for me button.

For further help on using FindEazy and different ways to use the map, click on the Show Search Guide link at the top of the page.

Businesses that match the search details will be shown on the map as markers. The name of the business will be shown in a pop up tooltip and contact details and other information can be viewed by clicking on the icon

In some cases you may find that the map does not show the correct location, for instance Halifax defaults to a town by that name in Canada. In such cases add the two letter country code for the intended search location, such as GB for Great Britain.

Search Range

You can change the range of the search at any time by using the Range list. Use this to adjust the range of searches from 1 to 5 miles. The map will adjust to match the range selected, the wider the search, the more the map will zoom out to show the search results.

Auto Search

The Auto Search option can be used to turn this feature on and off. If you activate this feature, searches will be carried out as soon as you change any of the form settings, speeding up the searches you make.

Bookmarking Searches

Since FindEazy works without reloading the map page for each new search, we have provided a link which is shown just below the main menu. This link will open in a new window with the search details added to the URL so that you can bookmark the page and return to it later if you wish.
